About

Samantha Leffler is an NYC-based journalist with vast experience in writing, editing, and original reporting. Currently she’s freelancing full-time with Aplus.com — a digital media company devoted to spreading the message of positive journalism — where she writes and reports on a wide variety of impactful news and culture stories. She’s also contributing lifestyle stories to BrickUnderground.com

Prior to her current roles Samantha freelanced for Galvanized Media, a leading authority in the health and wellness space founded by David Zinczenko. During her time at Galvanized she was responsible for creating custom content and social media posts around Mr. Zinczenko’s latest book — New York Times bestseller Zero Sugar Diet. She also contributed additional lifestyle, health, wellness, and travel content to Galvanized’s partners and other verticals.

In June 2016 Samantha began freelancing for The Hollywood Reporter, where she was responsible for coverage around several high-profile television shows. While at The Hollywood Reporter she conducted in-depth interviews with actors and showrunners, and also created original features.

Before pursuing various freelance opportunities, Samantha spent nearly six years at Wetpaint.com, where she worked her way up from intern to editor. At Wetpaint she focused on entertainment and pop culture news, and conducted dozens of interviews with reality stars and actors. When not furiously writing and creating content, she worked closely with the social media team to drive record-breaking traffic to the site.

Samantha has a BFA in dramatic writing from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she was a top-ranking graduate who earned the University Honors Scholar distinction.
